Take a left turn at the lights and then immediate first right until you reach the T Junction at 18th Street. Take a left and proceed straight and UPS will be on your left, Grand Woodworks is next to UPS take a left turn into the complex beside Grand Woodworks and proceed to Warehouse 6.
Storage Tips Use good quality storage boxes (we sell a wide variety of sturdy cardboard boxes) Fill boxes to capacity, as partially full or bulging boxes may tip or collapse Pack heavy items into small boxes so they’re easy to lift Label or number boxes so it’s easier to find your things later Write a comprehensive list of your stored items and keep it in a safe place at home Protect your fragile goods with bubble wrap Wrap dishes and glasses in bubble wrap before storing Clean your garden equipment before storing it Wrap table legs with bubble wrap before storing them Use Wardrobe boxes for your fragile clothing items such as dresses, coats or suits Place heavy or bulky items in the room first to provide a good stacking base Plan your storage space – put those items that you need to get to most often near the front, close to the door Stack similar sized boxes together Do not place heavy items on sofas or mattresses Always place a protective cover over your soft furnishings Stack chairs seat to seat with cloth or paper to separate them Be sure that there remains no water in your refrigerator before storing Leave refrigerator or freezer doors open for ventilation when storing Wrap pictures and mirrors, then stack them on their end in boxes marked ‘fragile’ To aid ventilation, avoid stacking or leaning furniture against outside walls Cover your goods with dust sheets to protect against dust
Do I need insurance? Yes, anything stored within an Extra Space Storage Unit needs to be covered by insurance. Insurance is quoted separately based on the nature and value of goods stored on a periodic basis the value of goods is then notated with our insurance underwriter.
What can’t I store? Firearms, ammunition, explosives Flammable liquids, paint, gas bottles etc Combustible Fuel Stolen goods or illegal items Plant, animal or biological matter Plant, animal or biological matter Radioactive Goods of any type
Can I store in more than one room? Yes, we are designed for this, if you require multiple rooms we can arrange that for you and have them keyed alike.
What do I need to book a space? You will require: Two forms of photo ID (one of which must be an emirates ID or Passport) If a Company – Current Trade License Copy
How secure are my belongings? Very secure. We have trained Security Guards on site 24/7. We also have trained staff on hand during office hours, CCTV, and separate alarm systems on your individual Storage Unit. Access to your room is by own individual pin code.
